I am writing to confirm that the Northern Ireland Assembly Commission (Assembly Commission) has processed your request dated 16 October 2025 in line with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). Your request was as follows—

“Under Freedom of Information legislation I would like to request the following:

Copies of all papers, reports and debriefings compiled, submitted, circulated or published by Members or NI Assembly staff relating to their attendance at Commonwealth Parliamentary Association conferences in the past five years.”

The Assembly Commission holds information in relation to your request. However, this information is reasonably accessible to you by other means, and as such is exempt from disclosure under section 21 of the FOIA. Information in relation to the work of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) including minutes from meetings are available on the Assembly website here.
