Committee for Communities

Welcome to the Home Page of the Committee for Communities for the 2016-2017 Mandate. The Committee was established to advise and assist the Minister on matters within their responsibility. The Committee undertook a scrutiny, policy development and consultation role with respect to the Department for Communities and played a key role in the consideration and development of legislation.

The Committee for Communities held its final meeting of the 2016-2017 Mandate on 19 January 2017. The Northern Ireland Assembly and its committees were dissolved on 26 January 2017 in preparation for the Northern Ireland Assembly elections on 2 March 2017.
