Assembly and Executive Review Committee
Established under the Northern Ireland Act 1998 the Assembly & Executive Review Committee's role was to review matters relating to the functioning of the Assembly and the Executive.
In particular, the Committee was required to review and report on the operation of Parts III and IV of the Northern Ireland Act 1998. Part III deals with Executive Authorities and Part IV deals with a range of areas including Assembly Elections and Assembly Proceedings etc.

The Assembly & Executive Review Committee held its final meeting of the 2016-2017 Mandate on 11 October 2016. The Northern Ireland Assembly and its committees were dissolved on 26 January 2017 in preparation for the Northern Ireland Assembly elections on 2 March 2017.
