The next meeting of the Committee for Justice will take place on Thursday 16 April March 2026 at 2.00pm in Room 30, Parliament Buildings.

Criminal Justice (Sentencing etc) Bill
The Criminal Justice (Sentencing etc) Bill was introduced to the Northern Ireland Assembly by the Minister for Justice on 3 March 2026.
On completion of its Second Stage it was referred to the Committee for Justice for consideration.
As part of the Committee Stage, the Committee issued a call for evidence which opened on 30 March 2026 and will close on 8 May 2026.
