On Thursday 25th of June, officials from the Department of Health will attend the Health Committee to provide oral evidence on the Safe and Effective Staffing Bill.

Department of Health officials will then deliver oral briefings on June Monitoring and Budget Priorities, followed by an update on Gender services and ongoing service developments.

The Health Committee will recieve a written briefing from the Department of Health on rural proofing and regional access to services within the Transformation Agenda.

The meeting will be broadcast live on the Northern Ireland Assembly website from 2pm.

Adult Protection Bill

The Adult Protection Bill was formally introduced by the Minister of Health on Tuesday 17 June 2025. The Bill completed its Second Stage on Monday 30 June 2025 and was referred to the Committee for Health for the Committee Stage of the Bill.

The Committee for Health ordered the Report to be published on 26 March 2026.

On 02 December 2025 the Committee published its Access to Palliative Care Services inquiry report.
