Inquiry into Gaps in Equality Legislation
The Committee is currently conducting an inquiry on differences in equality legislation between the regions of the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
The purpose of the inquiry is to find out where equality legislation is different in Northern Ireland to other jurisdictions and to understand the impacts this has.
The Committee launched a 'call for evidence', inviting people to give their views, in the form of an online survey. The survey period closed on Friday 6 September 2024. Following the closure of this call for evidence the Committee will commence oral evidence sessions from September 2024. It will consider all written and oral evidence before moving to deliberate on its draft report to the Assembly. Responses to this Call for Evidence will be published in accordance with Northern Ireland Assembly protocols.
