Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Investment Meeting - 24 March 2015

The Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Investment met on Tuesday 24 March 2015 at 10:00am in Room 29, Parliament Buildings. The Committee was briefed by Department officials and the Ulster University Economic Policy Unit on the economic impact of changes to air fares and short-haul air passenger duty. An Assembly Researcher then provided the Committee with the headline results of the Committee’s business survey. The Committee also considered a research paper on IDA Ireland’s regional targets and policy measures.

The Committee then reviewed further written submissions received in response to its Inquiry into Economic Growth and Job Creation in a Reduced Tax Environment as well as the Ministerial response to its Report ‘Electricity Policy Review Part III Grid Connections’. The Committee also considered Departmental written briefings on the Northern Ireland Broadband Improvement Project, Access to Finance, Programme for Government 2011-15 Departmental Delivery Plans and Grade A Office Space as well as a number of pieces of subordinate legislation and Departmental consultations.
