Local students challenge politicians to 'talk politics'

Following on from a series of successful 'Let's Talk Politics' events aimed at young people, sixth form students from schools in East, North and South Antrim, and East Londonderry constituencies will take up the challenge to quiz their local political representatives on the issues that matter to them and their local communities.

Education Committee Backs Digital Action Plan in Schools

The Committee for Education today called for primary and post-primary pupils to be given better access to the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) parts of the curriculum, particularly with respect to learning computer coding. Their call came as the Committee continued its review of STEM subjects in schools.

Assembly Committee calls for assurance measures on Executive's Budget 2015-16

The Committee for Finance and Personnel has launched its report on the Northern Ireland Executive’s proposed budget for 2015-16. The report, which the Committee co-ordinates on behalf of all the Assembly scrutiny committees, identifies specific actions that the Executive could take when implementing the 2015-16 budget.
