The next meeting of the Committee for Health will be on Thursday 05 February 2026. The Permanent Secretary will inform Members on patient flow in hospitals. The meeting will be held at Shankill Shared Women's Centre, Belfast and will also be broadcast live on the Northern Ireland Assembly website from 2pm.

Adult Protection Bill

The Adult Protection Bill was formally introduced by the Minister of Health on Tuesday 17 June 2025. The Bill completed its Second Stage on Monday 30 June 2025 and is now referred to the Committee for Health for the Committee Stage of the Bill.

As part of the Committee Stage, the Committee will now receive oral evidence on the objectives, proposals and potential consequences of the Bill.
