I am writing to confirm that the Northern Ireland Assembly Commission (Assembly Commission) has processed your request dated 14 January 2026 in line with the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Your request was as follows:
“I would like to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act.
I would like to request copies of all documents held by the Assembly and relating to costs associated with Michelle O'Neill being in Portugal in July/August/September 2024.
I would like my request to include the cost of travel of any public servants sent to Portugal to meet with Ms O'Neill. I would like my request to include any receipts associated with plane trips, taxi trips, and meal/drink expenditure incurred by Ms O'Neill and any public servant in Portugal during this time and any correspondence between Ms O'Neill and the Assembly, and any public servant who travelled to Portugal and the Assembly, in relation to travel to and from Portugal and associated expenditure.
In relation to the correspondence, I would like my request to include any generated during or after the above-mentioned period of July to September 2024.”
