I am writing to confirm that the Northern Ireland Assembly Commission (Assembly Commission) has processed your request dated 28 November 2025 in line with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). Your request was as follows—

‘Under the Freedom of Information Act, I wish to request details in relation

to Assembly passes…  please disclose the following:

1. Did Mr Ó Cuilín have an Assembly pass?

2. If so, over what period did he hold this pass?

3. Who was the ‘pass sponsor’ for him during this period?’

 

Our response

The Assembly Commission holds information in relation to your request.

 

Question 1

Mr Ó Cuilín was issued with an Assembly Identification Pass.

Question 2

The Assembly Identification Pass was removed on the 22 October 2024. The start date of the Assembly Identification Pass was unavailable after its removal from our system.

Question 3

The Assembly Identification Pass was issued under the Sinn Fein Party allocation, not that of an individual MLA.
