Freedom of Information Act 2000 (“FOIA”)
I am writing to confirm that the Northern Ireland Assembly Commission (Assembly Commission) has processed your request dated 3 September 2024 in line with the Freedom of Information Act 2000. In your request, you asked:
“Please disclose the following:
1. A list of any bike shelters for the Assembly and for each, their location, roughly when they were constructed, and their cost.
2. A list of any bike stands for the Assembly and for each, their location, roughly when they were constructed, and their cost.”
Our response
2. There are two bike shelters at Parliament Buildings. One is located in the Lower East car park and one is located in the Upper East car park.
2. The bike shelter installed in the Lower East car park predates our records and there are no costs on file associated with its installation. A new bike shelter was installed in the Upper East car park in May 2024. The invoice has not yet been received, however the costs are estimated to be in or around £5,476.
