The Northern Ireland Assembly Commission (Assembly Commission) has processed your request dated 3 July 2024 under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). In your request, you asked:

“My first request is to have the census for the amount of sheep across Northern Ireland, broken down by county and if possible constituency area.

My second request is to have the census for the amount of cattle across Northern Ireland, broken down by county and if possible constituency area.”

The Assembly Commission does not hold this information.

As previously indicated, we wish to provide you with best possible advice and assistance under section 16 of the FOIA 2000. The public may access the 2023 Agricultural Census in Northern Ireland results as published by the Department for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs on 14 December 2023 via their website.
