I am writing to confirm that the Northern Ireland Assembly Commission (Assembly Commission) has processed your request dated 9 April 2024 in line with the Freedom of Information Act 2000. In your request, you asked:
“Under the Freedom of Information Act, for the tax years 2014/15 to 2022/23 inclusive, please would you please fully disclose the following details, breaking the figures by year:
1. How much revenue has been received by your organisation for services rendered to film and television productions? This could include location rental, permits and all other services related to film productions using your personnel or resources.
2. Please outline the type of work or service rendered, in each case and disclose the revenue received for each type of service.
3. How much has your organisation spent on facilitating such arrangements between 2014/15 to 2022/23, inclusive, broken down by year?”
Our response
- For the period sought, a total of £3,324.71 (net of VAT) was received in relation to services rendered to film and television productions. This amount, in its entirety, relates to the financial year 2022/23.
- The Assembly Commission issued a service invoice for the recouping of direct costs related to opening Parliament Buildings for filming on a Saturday. The amount received was £3,324.71 (net of VAT).
- As per the response to 2 above, the Assembly Commission incurred direct costs of £3,324.71 in 22/23 in relation to these services.
Your request for information and our response may be published in the disclosure log maintained by the Assembly Commission under a publication scheme agreed with the ICO. The request and our response will be anonymised.
