I am writing to confirm that the Northern Ireland Assembly Commission (Assembly Commission) has processed your request dated 19 February 2024 in line with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). In this request you asked for the following information:
I would like information regarding the Justice Committee's involvement going forward on the various EU Withdrawal Agreement (EUWA) domestic legislative changes that affect Hague 2007. I also hope the Committee will hold the Department of Justice and its staff to account. To this end, grateful if you would provide me with:
1) a schedule of proposed legislative changes the Justice Committee are considering over the next year that impact on Hague 2007 and Private International Law.
2) details of any proposed consultations on the topic of reciprocal enforcement of maintenance decisions that the Justice Committee will be involved in over the next year.”

As regards the two questions enumerated above the Assembly Commission responds as follows:
1) This information is not held. The Committee for Justice does not have a schedule of proposed legislative changes it will be considering over the next year that impact on Hague 2007 and Private International Law.
2) This information is not held. The Committee does not have details of any proposed consultations on the topic of reciprocal enforcement of maintenance decisions that it will be involved in over the next year.
