Agriculture Bill

Committee Stage Consideration

The Agriculture Bill was introduced to the Northern Ireland Assembly by the Minister for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs on 25 November 2024. The Bill completed Second Stage on 3 December 2024 and was referred to the Committee for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs for consideration (also known as the Committee Stage of the Bill).

As part of the Committee Stage the Committee launched a survey to gather feedback and evidence from interested bodies and individuals. The deadline for survey submissions was Friday 14 February 2025. The Committee is now in the process of considering this evidence.
