Committee for Social Development Meeting - 29 May 2014

The Committee for Social Development met at 10.00am on Thursday 29 May in Room 29, Parliament Buildings. The meeting began in closed session to facilitate a legal briefing.

The Committee then went into open session to take evidence from officials representing the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) on phase 2 of its inquiry relating to the appropriateness of actions taken to address failings in the procurement and management of NIHE contracts.

The Committee also received briefings from the Department for Social Development on the June Monitoring Round and on Employer Engagement in relation to Welfare Reform.
