A key responsibility of the Assembly’s Committee for Finance and Personnel (the CFP) is to scrutinise matters relating to finance and the economy in Northern Ireland (NI). Since July 2015, there has been an on-going CFP review into the sale of the property loan portfolio in NI by the Republic of Ireland’s (RoI) National Asset Management Agency (NAMA). To facilitate its review, the CFP commissioned the Assembly’s Research and Information Service (RaISe) to compile a timeline regarding the sale of the NI portfolio, and then agreed it would be published.
