APN 408 - 17/22: All Party Group on Lung Health
A virtual meeting of the All Party Group (APG) on Lung Health has been arranged to take place on Wednesday 30 June 2021 at 10am using Zoom.
At some point in our lives, one in five of us will have a lung disease. This can vary from common conditions such as asthma, COPD and sleep apnoea to rarer conditions such as IPF and sarcoidosis.
For this meeting we will be focussing on restarting respiratory services in Northern Ireland. We will hear about the challenges placed on respiratory medicine during the pandemic and discuss what needs to be done restore services and support people with living with lung diseases. We will hear from Dr Shane Moanfrom the Ulster Thoracic Society about what services are like and what are the challenges; whilst Joseph Carter will present feedback from patient lived experiences and the results of some recent Asthma UK and British Lung Foundation research.
All Members are welcome to attend.
