APN 281 - 17/22: All Party Group on Lung Health
A virtual meeting has been organised to establish a new All Party Group (APG) on Lung Health to take place on Tuesday 28 July 2020 at 1pm using Zoom.
At some point in our lives, one in five of us will have a lung disease. This can vary from common conditions such as asthma, COPD and sleep apnoea to rarer conditions such as IPF and sarcoidosis.
Covid-19 has shown that acute respiratory symptoms can literally bring countries to a standstill. The pandemic has highlighted the need for clear and robust guidelines and support for people with a lung condition. The new All Party Group on Lung Health will highlight the need for a new Respiratory Health strategy to help prevent, diagnose and treat lung conditions so that we can all live better healthier lives.
This inaugural meeting will elect officers and agree the terms of reference.
All Members are welcome to attend.
An invite will be emailed separately to every MLA providing instruction on how to join the remote/virtual meeting.
