I am writing to confirm that the Northern Ireland Assembly Commission (Assembly Commission) has processed your request dated 22 July 2026 in line with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). In your request, you asked:
‘I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding the procurement of translation, interpretation and other language services.
Specifically, for the most recent tender, framework agreement, procurement exercise, mini-competition or further competition for language services, I would like to request the following information:
For each lot, service category or workstream (for example, telephone interpreting, face-to-face interpreting, video interpreting, written translation, BSL interpretation, or any other lot structure used within the procurement):
1. The lot name and description.
2. The total number of bidders who submitted a response for that lot.
3. The names of all organisations or companies that submitted bids for that lot.’

The Assembly Commission holds some information in relation to your request.

The contract for the Provision of Sign Language Interpretation Services was not split up into lots. The contract was advertised on E-tenders where you can view the contract description in full.
2. The total number of bidders who submitted a response for that lot.
This information is reasonably accessible to you through links on the E-tenders website. The link in Queston 1 will show you how many bids were submitted for the Provision of Sign Language Interpretation Services contract.
3. The names of all organisations or companies that submitted bids for that lot.
The contract for the Provision of Sign Language Interpretation Services was not split up into lots. The names of all organisations or companies that submitted bids for the contract are:
