FOI 10-26: A request relating to the attendance of Committee members at Committee of Infrastructure meetings

Freedom of Information Act 2000

I am writing to confirm that the Northern Ireland Assembly Commission (Assembly Commission) has processed your request dated 19 February 2026 in line with the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Your request was as follows:

“I wish to lodge a Freedom of Information request on the following questions regarding the Infrastructure committee

1.    Details of how many members of the Committee for Infrastructure have attended the scheduled Committee meetings since the formation of Committee and the return of the Executive in 2023 (‘the period’)

 

2.    (a) The details of how many MLAs issued apologies for scheduled Committee for Infrastructure meetings in the period,

(b) the same of each individual MLAs.

 

3.    (a) The details of how many MLAs issued apologies for lateness for scheduled Committee for Infrastructure meetings in the period,

(b) the same of each individual MLAs.

 

4.    (a) The details of how many MLAs did not issue apologies or apologies for lateness for scheduled Committee for Infrastructure meetings in the period,

(b) the same of each individual MLAs.

 

5.    (a) The details of how many MLAs left early during scheduled Committee for Infrastructure meetings in the period,

(b) the same of each individual MLAs.

 

6.  Of those MLAs who left early during scheduled Committee for Infrastructure meetings, the details of

(a) their names and

(b) what time they left.”

  1. This information is exempt from disclosure under section 21 of the FOIA as it is reasonably accessible to you by other means. It can reasonably be derived from published minutes of proceedings of the Committee, and from the Member attendance tables.
