2.1 Single Use Carrier Bags Charge (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021

The Speaker informed Members that he had received correspondence from the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs advising that, for procedural reasons, he would not be in a position to move the motion on the Single Use Carrier Bags Charge (Amendment) Regulations 2021 that was scheduled for Tuesday 18 January 2022 and there would therefore be no debate on that item of business.

2.2 Social-distancing Arrangements

The Speaker informed Members that, in light of the health protection regulations that had come into force on 27 December, the Business Committee had agreed that seating arrangements in the Chamber would reflect a social distance of 2 metres for all items of business until further notice.

9.2 Consideration Stage: Integrated Education Bill (NIA Bill 23/17-22)

Ms Kellie Armstrong moved the Consideration Stage of the Integrated Education Bill (NIA Bill 23/17-22).

Seventy-one amendments were tabled to the Bill and selected for debate. Also tabled, was Mr Jim Allister's intention to oppose the question that Clauses 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12 stand part, and the Minister's intention to oppose the question that Clauses 4, 5, 7 and 9 stand part.
