Northern Ireland Assembly to hold Plenary sitting

There will be a Plenary sitting of the Northern Ireland Assembly on Saturday, 3 February 2024 at 1pm.

The purpose for which the Assembly has been summoned is to elect a Speaker and Deputy Speakers; to appoint a First Minister and deputy First Minister and all other Executive Ministers.

The code for media to access the Press Gallery in the Assembly Chamber is available from the Communications Office.

If you wish to watch the proceedings outside of the Assembly Chamber Press Gallery, you can view the Plenary in the Press Room in the basement or on additional screens which have been set up in the Senate Chamber. 

There will be a media briefing in the Press Room at 11.00am on Saturday morning to set out what will happen in the Chamber.

For your information, feeds will be available within the Press Room and at the Lawn Box facility at the bottom of the steps.

Please Note: All media who have not been issued with a permanent pass will need to produce proof of media accreditation before they can be provided with a Media Day Pass. This can include a current NUJ card, proof of employment with a media organisation (i.e. an up to date organisational pass) or a letter of introduction from a recognised media outlet.
