Provision of stab-proof vests to the Northern Ireland Assembly Commission

The Northern Ireland Assembly Commission (Assembly Commission) requires a contractor for the provision of stab proof vests (SPVs) and associated assessories and services.
The Assembly Commission have utilised stab proof vests as part of their Usher Services uniform since 2017. The current contract for protective vests is due to end on 4 January 2024.
The objective of this tender is the continued provision of a stab proof vest and overt carrier which will offer a high level of protection from the threat of knives and / or spiked implements. As well as providing protection to Usher Services staff, the stab proof vests ensure that Usher Services staff are easily identifiable for visitors and building users at Parliament Buildings, particularly in relation to fire evacuations and visitor information. The stab proof vest ensures a consistently smart appearance and high visibility stripes are an added safety tool when working with vehicles in external areas around Parliament Buildings.
