Abortion Services (Safe Access Zones) Bill - Committee Stage

The Abortion Services (Safe Access Zones) Bill was introduced in the Assembly by Clare Bailey MLA, on 13 September 2021. The purpose of the Bill is to make provision for the establishment of safe access zones around abortion clinics.

The Bill passed its second stage on 12 October 2021 and has been referred to the Committee for Health for Committee Stage.

The Committee issued a call for evidence on the Abortion Services (Safe Access Zones) Bill which closed on 12 November 2021.  

The call for evidence is now closed and the Committee is considering the written submissions it received.
