Dear Peter,
Thank you for your memo of 25th June, regarding the Committee Stage of the Financial Reporting (Departments and Public Bodies) Bill. The Committee considered your correspondence at its meeting and agreed that I should respond.
Members are content with the broad content and direction of the Bill. However, due to existing and anticipated pressures on the Committee’s time, Members agreed that it would not be possible for the Committee to undertake any engagement or consultation with its stakeholders in support of the Finance Committee’s scrutiny of the Bill. Members did agree to direct the Committee’s stakeholders to the call for evidence on the Bill.
