Take a tour of Parliament Buildings this Easter
[We are greeted by Shannen, a member of the Assembly's Visitor Experience Team. Shannen is standing in the Assembly Chamber - venue of Plenary Sessions of the Northern Ireland Assembly.]
Shannen: This Easter, why not take a sneak peek behind the scenes at Parliament Buildings, the home of the Northern Ireland Assembly. We're offering free guided tours, five days a week, every hour on the hour, from 11am to 3pm.
[We see sweeping shots of the ornate Assembly Chamber and Senate Chamber, and the marble-laden Great Hall, in Parliament Buildings].
Shannen (voice-over): You'll step inside the Assembly and Senate chambers and experience the stunning Great Hall for yourself.
[A close-up of a member of staff in the Speaker's Corner Cafe preparing a cup of coffee, we see a selection of scones and sweet treats on the counter, followed by a mid-range shot of a member of staff preparing a coffee behind the counter of the cafe. We then see a shot through the open doors of the Members' Dining Room, revealing an empty table and chairs. The table sits in front of a window that looks out on to the scenic Stormont Estate. We then see a panoramic view of the Stormont Estate, looking down the Prince of Wales Avenue which leads up to Parliament Buildings].
Shannen (voice-over): After your tour, why not grab a coffee and a scone at Speaker's Corner, or go all out by reserving a three-course meal or afternoon tea in the Members' Dining Room, which ironically you don't need to be a member to go into, complete with stunning views across the estate.
[We return to Shannen, who is now standing outside the front entrance of Parliament Buildings. It's a bright, sunny day and the steps leading up to Parliament Buildings and the front of the building itself are visible in the background]
Shannen: So what are you waiting for? Come and learn about what we do and see this stunning building for yourself.
