Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmnins MLA to update Committee for Infrastructure

The Northern Ireland Assembly Committee for Infrastructure will hold its next meeting on  Wednesday, 25 February 2026.

The primary business of the meeting is to take oral evidence from the Minister for Infrastructure, Liz Kimmins, regarding departmental performance and strategic priorities.

The session may include discussion of the following topics:

• Road Maintenance: Scrutiny of the current pothole repair backlog and the implementation of the new Roads Maintenance Strategy.
• Wastewater Infrastructure:  Assessment of NI Water’s capacity constraints and their impact on the 2022-2027 Housing Growth indicators.
• Planning Performance:  Review of statutory response times and the progress of the Department’s Planning Improvement Programme aimed at accelerating decision-making processes.
