Assembly Business – Consideration Stage - Sign Language Bill (NIA Bill 10/22 27)

The Northern Ireland Assembly wishes to advise media that the Consideration Stage of the Sign Language Bill (NIA Bill 10/22‑27), sponsored by the Minister for Communities, will take place in the Assembly Chamber on a date to be scheduled in accordance with the Business Committee’s agenda.

The Bill completed its Committee Stage and is now progressing to the first amending stage on the floor of the Assembly.

This stage provides MLAs with the opportunity to debate and vote on all admissible proposed amendments, as well as to consider each clause and schedule of the Bill in detail.

Accreditation & Media Access

• Members of the press who already hold valid Assembly media accreditation may access the Press Gallery as normal.
• Journalists without accreditation should contact the Assembly Communications Office in advance to arrange access.

Broadcast & Technical Arrangements

• The proceedings will be broadcast live on Assembly TV.
• Audio and video feeds will be available for media outlets through the usual broadcast distribution channels.
