Department of Finance - Treasury funding available 2026-29/30

Mr John O’Dowd (The Minister of Finance): The purpose of this Statement is to inform the Assembly of the updated funding made available by the Treasury for the Budget 2026-29/30 as notified by the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland following the Spring Statement.
In accordance with my statutory duty under Section 64 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998, I am required to lay before the Assembly a Statement detailing the UK funding provided for 2026-29/30 at least 14 days prior to laying a draft Budget.
The funding that will be provided to the Executive for the period 2026-29/30, is set out below.

This funding includes baseline allocations and Barnett consequentials as well as earmarked funding for specific initiatives such as Transformation, Security, the Tackling Paramilitarism Programme, VAT compensation for private schools, the Windsor Framework, debt advice services, City and Growth Deals, and NDNA funding for An Ciste and the Magee Medical School.
