Committee stage - The RHI (Closure of Non-Domestic Scheme) Bill
The RHI (Closure of Non-Domestic Scheme) Bill was formally introduced by the Minister for the Economy on 6 October 2025. The Bill completed its Second Stage on 20 October 2025.
As part of the Assembly’s legislative processes, the RHI (Closure of Non-Domestic Scheme) Bill was referred to the Assembly’s Committee for the Economy so that the Committee can consider and take evidence on the Bill and report its opinion to the Assembly.

In order to inform the Committee Stage of the Bill and to help with the development of any necessary amendments, the Committee launched its consultation to gather feedback and evidence from interested bodies and individuals on the objectives, proposals and potential consequences of the Bill.
The consultation survey closed at noon on 1 December 2025. The submitted views will help to inform the Committee's consideration of the Bill and any recommendations it may suggest as it moves to the next stage of the legislative process.
