Assembly and Executive Review Committee
Review into Assembly and Executive Reform
The Committee is undertaking a review of institutional reform, which follows on from the initial work by the previous AERC in the last Assembly mandate. The review will build on this and on other evidence which has arisen from subsequent academic research and parliamentary inquiries.
The AERC is seeking views from stakeholders on what institutional reforms could be implemented to improve the functioning and stability of the Assembly and the Executive Committee.
We have created a survey that will help you to share your opinion.
The survey is open until Monday 26 May 2025.
Why your views matter
Following consideration of the evidence gathered, the review will lead to an evidence-based report that will inform the Assembly, the political parties and any wider political discussions. The report, which will be debated in the Assembly, will help to elucidate the options and related considerations for applicable institutional reform.
