Synopsis: This paper gives a brief overview of the Planning Act 2011, and the main changes it brought about the planning system in Northern Ireland (NI). It also gives a brief account of SL1:The Planning Act 2011 (Review) Regulations 2020 in terms of its context, proposals and suggests a number of considerations.
