The Children’s Services Co-operation Bill
Synopsis: The Children’s Services Co-operation Bill was introduced to the Assembly by Mr Steven Agnew, MLA on 8 December 2014.The Bill amends the Children (NI) Order 1995. It requires NI departments to co-operate with each other to contribute to the achievement of specified outcomes relating to the well-being of children and young people. It creates a duty for all key agencies to cooperate in the planning, commissioning and delivery of children’s services. The Bill also creates an enabling power to allow departments to pool budgets for crosscutting children’s issues.
