2. Oral evidence session with the Attorney General for Northern Ireland
The Attorney General for Northern Ireland, John Larkin QC, and Maura McCallion and Ian Wimpress from the Office of the Attorney General joined the meeting at 11.08 a.m.
The Attorney General briefed the Committee on the criminal law relating to abortion in Northern Ireland.
A detailed question and answer session took place.
11.37 a.m. Jim Wells left the meeting.
12.14 p.m. Patsy McGlone left the meeting.
The Attorney General agreed to provide written details of the relevant legislation referred to in his briefing.
The Chairman thanked the Attorney General and his officials for their attendance and they left the meeting.
12.26 p.m. William Humphrey joined the meeting.

The next meeting will take place on Thursday 29 November 2012 at 3.15 p.m. in the Board Room, Woodlands Juvenile Justice Centre, Bangor with a tour of the Juvenile Justice Centre taking place before the meeting.
