The Chairperson proposed that the Committee issue a press release in response to the Minister’s press release regarding salmon conservation measures.
The Committee divided: Ayes 4; Noes 5.
Ayes: The Chairperson; The Deputy Chairperson; Mrs Hale; and Mr McGimpsey.
Noes: Mrs McKevitt; Mr McMullan; Mr Ó hOisín; Mr Sheehan; and Mr Swann.
3. Draft Committee Letter to Minister regarding Salmon Conservation
Agreed: The Committee agreed the draft letter to the Minister regarding its position on proposed salmon conservation measures, subject to one correction.
The Chairperson adjourned the meeting at 2.26pm.
