NSMC Education Meeting and Various APGs

NORTH SOUTH MINISTERIAL COUNCIL EDUCATION MEETING

The Speaker received notification from the Executive, in accordance with section 52A (1) of the Northern Ireland Act 1998 (as amended), that a North South Ministerial Council Education meeting will be held on 22 May 2024.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE ALL PARTY GROUP ON SOCIAL ENTERPRISE

A meeting of the All-Party Group on Social Enterprise has been arranged to take place on Tuesday 4^th June 2024 at 12.30pm-1.30pm in Room 30, Parliament Buildings, Stormont.

All Members are most welcome to attend and support this growing and impactful sector.

A light lunch will be provided before the meeting from 12.15pm.

The meeting will take the form of the Group’s Annual General Meeting and Social Enterprise NI wouldlove to see as many as possible come along to receive an update on our work and in particular.

To hear from Fermanagh Trust on their work to promote the social economy in a rural area and associated challenges,

Listen to plans to update the statistics on the social economy in NI from research group CARD.

Discuss next steps with social value legislation in NI, and

Hear from the Department for the Economy on their plans for the work programme.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE ALL PARTY GROUP ON LONELINESS

An Annual General Meeting of the All-Party Group on Loneliness to carry out the annual election of office bearers has been arranged to take place on 3^rd June at 1.00 – 1.30pm online using Zoom. 

This will be a closed meeting for APG Members and members of the Action Group on Loneliness Policy.

An Annual General Meeting of the All-Party Group on DIABETES to carry out the annual election of office bearers has been arranged to take place on Tuesday 2 July 2024 at 1pm (finishing at 2pm) in Room 30, Parliament Buildings.

A virtual meeting of the All Party Group on Climate Action will take place on
