APN 408 - 22/27: All Party Group on Ageing and Older People / All Party Group on Mental Health
ALL PARTY GROUP ON AGEING AND OLDER PEOPLE
A meeting of the All Party Group (APG) on Ageing and Older People has been arranged to take place on Wednesday 14th May at 12.30 – 2.00pm in Room 115, Parliament Buildings.
All Members are welcome to attend and lunch will be available.
The theme of the meeting will be housing and there will be presentations from a panel of speakers on the changing housing needs of older people. Members of the housing subgroup of the Age-Friendly Network Northern Ireland will discuss their work engaging with older people and researching their housing needs. The Chartered Institute of Housing will discuss the connections between housing and health for older people. The Northern Ireland Federation of Housing Associations will outline their work supporting older residents in the community. Co-Ownership will highlight their service for over 55s and outline some of the reasons people may need a range of housing options in later life.
In addition, the All Party Group will be celebrating its tenth anniversary and as such we would particularly welcome past members of the group to reflect on its achievements over the last decade.
Members are invited to contact Kellie Turtle at kellie.turtle@ageni.org to confirm their attendance.
