PROPOSED ALL PARTY GROUP ON PUBLIC POLICY & DATA
The remote/virtual meeting to discuss the establishment of an All-Party Group on Policy and Public Data and elect office bearers to the proposed group has been arranged to take place on Friday 13 December at 10am using the Microsoft Teams platform.
With the increase in data-driven initiatives and the growing recognition of the power of data there is a need for a mechanism to consider at government level how routinely collected data is used for public benefit, including access and availability, public voices, areas of research and evidence need, and legislative and policy change. The APG on Policy and Public Data will be an important way to access data-driven evidence for policy and lawmaking, and to champion your constituents’ voice in how their data is being used for them. Kate Nicholl MLA convening, with Secretariat support from the Administrative Data Research Centre Northern Ireland (ADRC NI).
All Members are welcome to attend.
