Warrington and Ireland - Reconciliation through Enterprise

Tuesday 19 March 2013 – Room 115 @ 1pm

The Tim Parry, Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace was created by Colin and Wendy Parry, in memory of the two boys who lost their lives in the IRA bombing of Warrington, Cheshire.  They are tireless peace campaigners and in 1993 embarked on a journey of reconciliation and understanding.

Their Foundation works to support victims of conflict, enabling them to use their traumatic experiences to do something positive and to move forward with their lives. It also supports young people and works to build stronger communities without prejudice and discrimination.

Wednesday 20th March 2013 marks the twentieth anniversary since the bombing and Mr and Mrs Parry will visit Parliament Buildings on Tuesday 19 March 2013 when Colin will update Members about the work of the Foundation in tackling the causes of conflict and supporting those affected by conflict in the continued spirit of friendship and reconciliation that exists between Warrington and the people of Northern Ireland.

Junior Minister Bell and Junior Minister McCann would like to invite all MLAs to meet Colin and Wendy in Room 115 on 19 March 2013 at 1pm.
