ASSEMBLY EXTRA REVIEW

The Communications Office is undertaking a review of Assembly Extra

Assembly Extra was launched in April 2012 as the new web-based programme developed by the Assembly’s Communications and Broadcast teams.  It is a mix of features, interviews and behind the scenes insights into the workings of the Assembly.

If you’re in Parliament Buildings, you can watch Assembly Extra on the internal TV system (NIATV).  If watching it at home, visit http://nia1.me/extra.

We would be grateful if you could take some time to give us your feedback by filling out a survey, located at

If you have questions in relation to the review, please do not hesitate to contact the Communications Office on 028 90 525938.

“THE WORST PLACE IN THE WORLD TO BE A WOMAN”

As part of International Women’s Day, Salome Ntububa, Christian Aid's Humanitarian Manager for Central Africa, will visit Stormont on 25 February, to raise awareness surrounding the issues of violence against women in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Her visit will take place in Room 115, from 12:30-2pm.

Fighting and insecurity in DRC are undermining and complicating the protection of civilians and humanitarian access to meet growing needs. The latest crisis, centred on the east of the country, is exacerbating an already appalling humanitarian situation. As so often happens, women find themselves even more vulnerable at times of conflict.

Lunch will be provided and all Members are very welcome.

The attendance of female MLAs is particularly encouraged.

Please rsvp by Friday 22 February to kate.nicholl@allianceparty.org or by calling 028 9033 0811 and inform us of any dietary requirements.
