All Party Group on Heart Disease & Stroke
A meeting of the All-Party Group on Heart Disease & Stroke has been arranged to take place on Monday 18 June 2012 at noon in the Senate Chamber.
The aim of the group is to provide a forum for discussion on prevention, rehabilitation, ongoing care and treatment of heart disease and stroke, between Members of the Northern Ireland Assembly, people living with these conditions, the charities working in the field, and the health professionals involved.
The theme of the first meeting will focus on the importance of local research in heart disease and stroke. Key speakers from both fields will provide an overview of the important issues facing research in both areas in Northern Ireland.
