Draft Good Relations Action Plan 2025-2030
The Northern Ireland Assembly Commission recently sought your views on its draft Good Relations Action Plan 2025-2030.
The period of consultation ended on Monday 17 February 2025 and the results will be published in due course.
Why did we undertake this consultation?
Under Section 75(2) of the Northern Ireland Act 1998, the Northern Ireland Assembly Commission has a statutory duty ‘to have regard to the desirability of promoting good relations between persons of different religious belief, political opinion or racial group’.
The draft Good Relations Action Plan 2025-2030 sets out a number of actions on how the Northern Ireland Assembly Commission proposes to fulfil the Good Relations duty.
The Assembly Commission welcomed your comments on the proposed action measures in the draft Good Relations Action Plan and the consultation period ran from 11 November 2024 to 17 February 2025.

What happens next?
Now that the consultation phase has completed, the responses weill be reviewed and the finalised version of the draft Good Relations Action Plan, the Equality Screening Form and an Equality Consultation Outcome Report, will be published on the Northern Ireland Assembly Commission website in due course.
