Pension Contributions for Support Staff
Pension contributions for Members’ support staff are soon to be published on the NI Assembly website for the years 2011/2012 and 2012/2013. This information will be included under ‘other expenses’ and published as part of Members’ salaries and expenses.
The total amount paid in pension contributions to/for/on behalf of Members’ support staff each financial year can be provided for each political party for the following years 2011/2012 and 2012/2013. Please note, as some of the parties have a small number of staff these parties have been grouped together and one total figure provided, as to provide individual amounts has the potential to identify the salary of the Member’s support staff.
The information from 2007 (after suspension) to 2011 is not available according to political party and to provide the information in this format would exceed the fees limit. We can provide a total amount paid for these years however only a breakdown by political party for the years 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 has been included at Appendix A.
Attached at Appendix B are details of the amounts paid in pension contributions per political provider from 2007/2008 – 2012/2013.
