Assembly To Be Recalled For Plenary Sitting

Having received a valid notice from 30 Members, the Speaker has issued a notice this morning for a sitting of the Assembly today at 12pm on Monday 30 May 2022.
The purpose for which the Assembly has been summoned is to elect a Speaker and Deputy Speakers, to appoint a First Minister and deputy First Minister and debate a motion.
Media personnel should note that there will be a riser in the Great Hall to facilitate media coverage. Still photographers should position themselves on the upper tier with broadcasters on the lower level.
Stepladders will not be permitted and media are asked to refrain from standing on, or moving furniture, in the Great Hall.
