Independent Panel for Review of Decisions on Area-based Schemes
I am writing to inform you that the Committee has agreed to undertake some work into the matter regarding the Review of Decisions process on area-based schemes as currently overseen by the Department for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs.

It is expected that the Committee will take oral evidence from a small number of witnesses and invite a small number of written submissions from stakeholders. Please note that the approach and timings for taking evidence may be subject to change depending on other priorities.
The Committee agreed that, in keeping with its pre agreed principles on its approach to its work, that it will not take evidence on individual cases but rather will focus on the issues arising from cases in general.
Your written submission should be no more than three A4 pages with the key issues you wish to raise and suggestions for improvement and should be submitted by the end of February 2021.
