Inquiry into Attorney General (NI) Participation in Proceedings of the Assembly: Call for Evidence

The Northern Ireland Assembly Committee on Procedures is holding an Inquiry into the extent to which Standing Orders should permit the Attorney General for Northern Ireland (AGNI) to participate in proceedings of the Assembly.

The aim of the inquiry is to inform the Committee on how best to interpret the existing legislation into Standing Orders, the extent to which the AGNI should be enabled to participate and how it could best be done.

Any organisation or individual with an interest in this inquiry is invited to submit written evidence to inform the Committee’s position on the issues set out in the Terms of Reference. If possible, submissions should be sent electronically using the Stakeholder ‘Call for Evidence’ pro-forma. Responses should be emailed to the Clerk to the Committee on Procedures at: alison.ross@niassembly.gov.uk

Any queries should be directed to the Clerk, Alison Ross, using the above email address or telephone 028 9052 1436.

The closing date for submissions is Thursday, 9 May 2013.
