Committee Motion on DRD Budget
That the Committee for Regional Development expresses a lack of confidence in the Department for Regional Development’s ability to effectively manage and maintain their budgets, borne by an over-reliance on in-year monitoring, Translink stating that they will cease to trade within the next two years, the potential for infraction proceedings arising from lack of investment in waste water treatment plants and the risk of the Department exceeding their 2014/2015 budgetary control limits; and calls on the Minister for Regional Development to explain how he intends to negate these risks and set out his financial strategy for the next financial period.
