The Committees will receive an oral briefing on the joint working in relation to Shaping Sustainable Places from officials from the Department for Communities (DfC), the Department for Infrastructure (DfI), and the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA).
The Shaping Sustainable Places programme of work is a proposed long-term, cross-departmental programme of regeneration aimed at revitalising village, town and city centres across Northern Ireland.
The programme focuses on a place-based approach to delivering sustainable economic, social and environmental outcomes, with an emphasis on community engagement and targeted physical and infrastructure interventions.
